About the Role
As the Senior PMO Officer you will drive collaboration and adoption of the Portfolio Governance Framework. You will partner with the business to deliver successful projects and business outcomes across AusNet’s key investment portfolios.
A key part of this role will be to establish and nurture relationships with project teams and broader program/portfolio stakeholders, whilst providing consultation and support on project, program and portfolio standards, methods, tools, and templates. This role provides an opportunity to engage at all levels across the enterprise, including the Executive Leadership Team.
This role will report to the Portfolio Governance Manager with a base location at Southbank, Victoria. We support flexible working practices in a truly hybrid workplace.
What you will deliver
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to provide portfolio governance support to capital investment projects across the business.
- Enable project success from concept through to project closure by supporting delivery excellence and realising increased value from project investments.
- Review and progress Business Cases, Change Requests and Stage Gates
- Co-ordinate Project Reviews for projects across the investment portfolio
- Provide timely advice and support to the business portfolios, enabling them to best use the PMO’s capabilities and services.
- Responsible for the provision of coaching and training of portfolio governance tools, methods and processes.
What we like about you
- Demonstrated experience in utilities, capital intensive or regulated business project delivery environments
- Strong experience using and supporting adoption of project management methods, processes, and tools
- Capability and motivation to lead a team, support morale, provide focus, helping the team manage ambiguity and peak periods.
- Knowledge of project planning and management procedures, practices, and techniques
- Demonstrated experience in providing business insights and consulting with stakeholders at all levels
- Stakeholder engagement focused, with strong business acumen
- Relevant qualification in Business, Information Technology or a related discipline (preferred)
