We have a brilliant opportunity for an Inventory Analyst (Merchandise) to join our high performing and dynamic team. This is a permanent role, based at our National Office in Mulgrave and reports to the Inventory Manager.

The Inventory Analyst is responsible for the end-to-end management of merchandise to optimise availability and inventory holdings in Distribution Centres and Stores.

What you’ll be doing

• Implementing action plans by undertaking regular and proactive analysis of merchandise performance to maximise the departments the departments financial outcomes
• Ensuring system parameters and capabilities are analysed and managed effectively to drive optimal state and store inventory levels
• Build inventory management strategies that are inline with Kmart overall business strategies and goals
• Review and maintain forward stock projections to execute weekly ordering to meet demand needs
• Collaborating and building strong working relationships with key stakeholders including
• Drive DIFOT supplier improvements
• Analysing reporting and drive data driven commercial outcomes

To be successful in this team you will have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Analysis, Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Commerce, Inventory, Supply Chain and logistics
• Demonstrated skills in data analysis and reporting
• Strong Excel and Power Bi skills
• Experience within retail, wholesale or manufacturing
• Effective and concise communication skills
• Demonstrated leadership in business process and change management
• Ability to present analysis and insights to stakeholders/clients
• Excellent communication skills and empathy in dealing with technical and non-technical customers
