The Opportunity

Reporting to the Head of Commercial Category Management, the Category Manager is responsible for formulating and executing business wide category strategies that deliver cost effective solutions for business requirements.

- Build and sustain lasting relationships with a network of key stakeholders internally and externally to generate a deep understanding of business demands and facilitate partnerships that enable successful Third-Party service outcomes.
- Drive value-based decisions based on industry best practice strategy insights and an ability to consider agile approaches to deliver outcomes aligned with business expectations and Procurement frameworks.
- Negotiate tough situations skilfully with all stakeholders to enhance relationships.
- Manage all aspects of allocated initiatives in conjunction with key business stakeholders and cross-functional team members to improve and support the development of procurement best practice outcomes, including Third Party risk management.
- Although an individual contributor role, you will have a leadership voice and will take a proactive role in knowledge sharing with the broader team with a #oneteam mindset.
About you
You will have prior experience as a Category Manager or the ability to reflect your experience in successfully building and delivering strategies from ideation phase to tendering activities and ongoing supplier management. Experience in managing third party engagements which are services based (Professional Services / Contingent Labour) would be beneficial, but not required if you can articulate how you’d utilise your skillsets to develop your knowledge within this space.
You will have strong business partnering skills, an enterprise mindset and the ability to achieve outcomes to a high standard. You will have a history of delivering value and customer centric outcomes whilst being proactive, reliable, and agile in your execution of stakeholder requests.
