The Opportunity
The Claims Consultant is responsible for processing, editing, auditing and reassessing claims for Medibank members. You will be accountable for ensuring that claims are processed accurately and in a timely fashion to ensure the best possible experience for our members and providers.
How will you add value?
As a Claims Consultant, you will be accountable for meeting and exceeding set targets and objectives with a primary focus on:
- Achieving set quality metrics to ensure that claims are processed correctly;
- Being a positive contributor of the Operations team, through identifying and highlighting opportunities to improve processes that can positively impact our members and providers;
- Processing claims correctly and competently within the allocated timeframes;
- Identifying key risks and possible mitigation strategies with the Claims Team Leader to ensure Service Level Agreements are achieved and maintained;
- Active participation in delivering to the strategic priorities of Heath Operations aligned to the Medibank Strategy;
- Consistently displaying the Medibank values across the Operations team and contributing to a positive work environment.
About you
- You have been in a similar role in a customer service/high-volume processing environment within a large organization.
- You have previous experience in the delivery of service targets in a highly competitive environment.
- You have high attention to detail and well versed with MS Office suite, One Note and IT savvy
- You have excellent communication skills and can develop strong relationships with stakeholders.
- Your knowledge and private health insurance industry within Australia is desirable
