Job Summary

Optus’ Digital Technology Chapter Area’s purpose is to deliver technology and capability that fuel tribes to deliver amazing service and value to customers. The chapter area consists of multiple chapters in the same domain, grouped to ensure consistency. Chapters are a group of specialists with the same functional skillset working in the Agile Tribe and Squad model, led by an Associate Director/ Chapter Lead to ensure people management and professional development.

The Associate Director is a subject matter expert in the chapter skillset. You will manage up to 1-4 chapter members and provide technical expertise within the squad and wider chapter.

Key Responsibilities:

• Guide and be responsible for chapter members across required Agile Tribes and Squads.
• Maintain strategic policies, roadmaps, and guidelines.
• Facilitating career progression and KPI creation, providing opportunities for learning and self-development for chapter members.
• Be involved in recruiting processes and hiring.
• Ensuring high level of engagement and enthusiasm among the chapter.
• Ensuring that the Chapter is compliant with Company and regulatory policies and guidelines.
• Perform one-one sessions with Chapter members to provide encouragement, guidance and provide or receive any feedback.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Engineering or equivalent tertiary qualification
• Advanced mobile development industry experience
• Strong Leadership
• Problem solving skills
• Competent in Agile methodologies
• Broad knowledge of software technologies and development processes
• Excellent Communication skills
• Vendor / Contract management skills
• Results orientated, and strongly motivated leader with excellent negotiation skills
