The purpose of the Health & Wellbeing Manager is to drive, implement and evaluate the health and wellbeing strategy across Optus, making Optus the right place for the best people to do their best work and improving the health and wellbeing of our amazing people. This role will be responsible for continuous improvement, embedding wellbeing into our culture and ways of working, ensuring employees can access best in class support and resources and building wellbeing capability and awareness.

Your skills & background …

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or relevant professional experience in a health, safety and wellbeing management corporate environment;
  • Previous work health and wellbeing management experience within a corporate environment;
  • Stays up to date of health and wellbeing best practice and trends across corporate Australia and in community;
  • Great communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence stakeholders of all levels (both internal and external);
  • Self-motivated to operate autonomously and work seamlessly with stakeholders across Workplace, Health and Safety and People and Culture and business areas more broadly;
  • Skilled in data analytics to integrate metrics in planning and measuring initiatives;
  • Previous experience in developing and implementing end to end innovative initiatives across workplace health, wellbeing, recognition, organisation development etc. with evidence-based outcomes that demonstrate strong positive change; &
  • Experience working managing vendors in the provision of services, such as Employee Assistance Programs.
