The opportunity

QBE Insurance is transforming to build and strengthen the capabilities of our people as we seek to become future-fit for the challenges of tomorrow. In line with this ambition, we are seeking an experienced Organisational Capability Lead to join the team and lead the delivery of key capability plans across our business over the coming 12 months.

In this high-profile role, you will:

  • Be a key driver behind driving business transformation by leading the execution of people and leadership capability plans
  • Collaborate extensively with internal stakeholders and external vendors to design and deliver key development activities as outlined in the capability plans
  • Partner closely with key transformation stakeholders to align and execute against our need to strengthen people capabilities required to deliver on QBE’s ambition
  • Work with internal communications teams to support the delivery of capability plans
  • Maintain a wide network leveraging latest thinking, best practices, and developments in the future of work and transformation, including a specific focus on capability

Your story so far

This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced capability or learning manager to lead a critical program of work across a large and successful organisation. You will demonstrate past expertise in building and designing capability interventions, particularly in relation to leadership capabilities. You will have a strong knowledge of relevant vendors and providers who can support our organisation and can couple this with your understanding of learning principles to deliver engaging programs to our people.

You are comfortable acting at pace and often within ambiguity, harnessing your drive and energy to deliver results within strict timeframes. Importantly, you will demonstrate exceptional relationship management skills and can apply rigour to your subject matter expertise to build credibility and ultimately influence key stakeholders across the organisation to achieve buy in and support.
