The opportunity
An exciting opportunity for a Sustainability Analyst to join QBE’s Global Sustainability team on a 12-month fixed term contract.
This newly created role will see you supporting with the delivery of QBE’s sustainability agenda. This includes supporting with research and data and analytics on sustainability initiatives including acting as a central point of contact to support development of QBE’s approach to engaging with suppliers on sustainability and climate-related progress and performance.
- Develop our understanding of the most emissions intensive parts of our global supply chain, across Claims, IT and Indirect.
- Contribute to the development of our engagement approach and success measures, and systems and processes to support this approach.
- Support supplier engagement and internal engagement with stakeholders including in Procurement, Third-Party Risk Management, Investments, Underwriting, Claims, Finance and Operations.
- Actively participate in projects and initiatives that will support the continued delivery of the Group Sustainability Strategy and Scorecard
- Contribute to the continued implementation, maintenance and development of relevant policies, procedures and guidelines for Sustainability
What does success look like?
You will be a highly analytical and organised individual who has a passion for sustainability.
- Previous experience within a sustainability role is advantageous
- Strong research and data analytical capability
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple competing priorities and experience in delivering to deadlines
- Can work effectively within time constraints and is resilient under pressure
- Exposure to environmental reporting systems in advantages
