The opportunity: 

A fantastic opportunity for an experienced reward professional to join our Group Performance and Reward team.

Reporting into the Head of Reward, this role will see you developing, implementing, and communicating QBE’s employee reward (remuneration and benefits) program to support achievement of business initiative.

In this position, you will:

  • Contribute to the development and actively drive the reward strategy, ensuring alignment between both local and global reward strategy plans and best practice to meet the needs of the business, improve stakeholder experience and maintain governance standards
  • Ensure effective reward program administration by developing and managing consistent application of policies and practices regarding job evaluation, job levelling, titling, local requirements, salary administration, to support our culture and compliance obligations
  • Manage annual reward cycles, such as annual merit review process, including data validation, system testing, process improvement and education of People business partners
  • Partner with various internal stakeholders to ensure all reward decisions and processes comply with legal and regulatory requirements
  • Function as a trusted advisor to the business including senior leadership and Group Executives globally for all Reward matters
  • Prepare remuneration board papers for Fiji and present to the Fiji Board.
  • Act as a point of reference to guide and advise junior colleagues and others to ensure the sharing of knowledge and best practices
  • Contribute and support wider projects that include a reward remit, such as participation on global reward team projects

Your story so far:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in HR, business or equivalent work experience would be ideal
  • Proven experience working on remuneration and benefits within a complex organisation
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills
  • Drive multiple projects simultaneously with a proven track record of superior results
  • Be an effective problem solver who can provide solutions to difficult situations
  • Strong attention to detail with high level accuracy
