  • Total Indicative Remuneration – RN1 -$77,412 – $105,625 / RN2 – $106,918 – $114,308 pro-rata
  • Part Time – Temporary Contract Up to March 2024 – RN1/ RN2

 Note: The Total Indicative Remuneration is inclusive of Award Salary, Superannuation, any relevant allowance and any other monetary benefits.

Overview

RN1 – Employees classified at this level provide nursing and/or midwifery services in health service settings. Employees working within this level develop from novice practitioners to a proficient level of professional practice. They consolidate knowledge and skills and develop in capability through continuous professional development and experience. An employee at this level accepts accountability for his or her own standards of nursing/midwifery care and for activities delegated to others.

RN2 – Provide nursing and/or midwifery services in a variety of health service settings which has been consolidated by experience and/or further study with staff at this level developing from competent to proficient practitioners.
Accepts accountability for their own practice standards, activities delegated to others and the guidance and development of less experienced staff.
The Clinical Mental Health Nurse role at this level continues to be predominantly clinical in nature; however employees are assigned appropriate portfolios. The allocation of portfolio responsibilities should be negotiated with each employee and be consistent with the career development plan for the employee as determined by their performance review/development plan.

About the Women’s and Children’s Health Network

The Women’s and Children’s Health Network provides state of the art health care for women and children in Adelaide and South Australia.

It is the state’s leading provider of specialist care for children with acute and chronic conditions and SA’s largest maternity and obstetric service. It also provides important community-based services.

Each year, more than 30,000 people are admitted and about 5000 babies are born at the Women’s and Children’s Hospital. In addition more than 250,000 people come to the hospital as outpatients.

The hospital has 295 beds. The hospital’s paediatric and adolescent wards cater for all paediatric specialties. Women’s wards provide antenatal, gynaecology, neonatal and postnatal care.
